Long time no see...

I got a livejournal account: here. There are some pictures of my Pullip Noir doll.

School starts tomorrow.

Last night, we put the top down in the boyfriend's convertible. (He arrived a couple days ago from Chicago and surprised me. Not sure how long he'll be here this time, though) It was a really lovely night, and I'd never been in a convertible before. There is something extremely poetic about driving in the open night air in a convertible, with your hair free. I'm going to miss staying out until the early hours of the morning, just driving around Falls Church and Arlington. Ate at Bob & Edith's 24-hour Diner. Much better than IHOP. Especially at 2am.

I thought that everybody would leave me behind when they graduated from highschool, but they didn't, and i'm glad. It is with them that I feel normal again. The state of being normal and feeling normal is highly underrated at times.

I think when I'm in college blogging will become more interesting... Or maybe not.

Hope everyone's holiday festivities have been lovely. Mine were pretty good, I got Gothic & Lolita Bibles Vol. 4-10, as well as a Pullip Noir Doll (waiting for it to arrive^^) and lots of perfumed goodies (lavender, my favorite!) from Crabtree and Evelyn (better than Bath and Body Works x3!!!!), money, etc. My boyfriend gave me Hello Kitty goods (fluffy pink Hello Kitty princess slippers, a plush doll, and a big pillow) as well as a super pretty silver bracelet. His DVD set still hasn't arrived for England T_T.

I also finallly learned how to drive while at my grandparents house in rural Southern Virginia, where people don't get as angry when driving up here. There wasn't much else to do besides learn how to drive, go to Walmart, and sleep.

OH! I also got Final Fantasy X-2 (a christmas gift for myself), which is the best game EVERRRRR! (For me, at least...) You get to pick their clothes!!!!! Yuna even has a moogle outfit! XD

New fansubbed anime I highly recommend:

Peace Maker Kurogane (similiar to Rurouni Kenshin... Only not ._. There's an angry piggy, too.)
and Chrno Crusade (nuns with guns, 'nuff said)

I'll get you your TI-83+, Yen! I promiseeeee!

Forever 21, a store I once hated, now provides me with my couture fix for 20 bucks. At menial quality, but hey, pink tweed rawkssss so much. Yen, we have to go there one day ^_^ You'd loveeee it!

listening to : LOVE SO PURE (Puffy AmiYumi)

I may be getting a car really soon. I'm so happy and excited! My parents are so nice. T_T I don't know what I'll be getting, but hopefully it will be either silver or black. ^_^

Listening to : Hey Ya! (Outkast)

Shake it, sh-shake it
Shake it, shake it
Sh-shake it
Shake it like a polaroid picture!

Okkkk! The first snow of the season was not very beautiful and poetic. That was disappointing. It turned into a slushy mess too fast.

It's my favorite time of the year, too! Especially for procrastinating with school work. It's 10 and I have an essay I still need to write. La~ It's all good. I'm gonna drink tea and listen to Puffy AmiYumi and Outkast. At the same time. Yeah!

I didn't go shopping, sorry sweetie. The excitement of Black Friday was quelled by the fact that I was dead tired from the night before. Family is tiring.

Life has been going well. Boring, uneventful, but that is sometimes good. It's just now I'm losing my drive in school, I'm procrastinating (right now, in fact), and not getting work finished. The Thanksgiving hols didn't help either. Is there anything worse that the prospect of returning to work or school after holidays?

On saturday I went to the Hirshorn Museum with Sarah #1. It was ok, I guess. Modern art just isn't my thing. I like pretty paintings with pretty dressed ladies, etc. I'd rather spend time with Waterhouse or Mucha than Warhol. Although there was an exhibit with paper falling from the ceiling into a room. That was cool, in a modern art sort of way.

Thanksgiving tomorrow! Yay! And you know what comes after Thanksgiving? THANKSGIVING SALES!!!! Yayyyy!

Right now I'm downloading Ragnarok Online, which looks like a super-fun and addictive online RPG, but you have to pay to play. So I'll at least get to play for the 3 day free period.

Strangest thing happened to me last night. I was in the process of breaking up with my boyfriend on the phone... We were both upset, but then we just started laughing! It was um... fucked up. It's really irritating being so involved with a person in which you can't get them out of your head, or your heart. It's almost sick, in fact.

I had a dream last night about going to Japan and going to the Volks store and choosing my Super Dollfie. At first I was going to get a SD-13, but it was 70000 something Yen, and I thought it was too expensive. So then I looked at the regular SD, but I couldn't decide! I never did decide, in fact, because I woke up. That said, I introduce you to Super Dollfie:

This is Sasya. She is a Volks SuperDollfie. Sasya is one of my favorite SDs. She has a more human-like face than the others.

Sara and Kira are two of my other favorite Super Dollfies. Sara looks so delicate, and they both look very sweet, and maybe a bit sad.

There are lots of other models and styles, too! SD-13 are a bit taller and have a more mature body, like a 13 year old. Regular SD's look about 10. There are also MiniSDs, which look like fairies! Everything about SDs are customizable. You can change the eyes, wig, and paint their face. ::sigh:: I love Volks. And they even have special Gothic and Lolita versions, but that's a story for another day. ^_^

I went to go see Elf with Sarah #2! It was sooooo SUGAR! Best movie! It put me in a state of ignorant happy-holiday bliss.

Last night I watched Edward Scissorhands with my friend Sarah #1. Johnny Depp was so adorable. Winona Ryder was not. We also discussed the David Bowie concert coming soon, which I can't go to because their aren't any tickets. But she gets to go because her dad's company has tickets. Ah, to be rich and privledged.

In other news, my darling boyfriend will be in town for two weeks. I'm so fucking happy. And I'm only half sarcastic!

Muffins and tea, muffins and tea oh how i adore muffins and tea. Cure-all for winter blues!

Listening to : Half Pain (WHR ED)

I made this layout at least a year ago, but i didn't understand div layers so it didn't work. Now I know, now it works.

And today I walked into my AP US History class to find the walls covered with posters of 50 Cent, Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Chingy, and Lil Romeo or Bow Wow or one of those. It was hard trying to have a serious discussion about women's rights in the 1840s when there was a huge poster of Beyonce and her large (firm) butt behind my teacher. Now to see how long it takes for the headmaster to 1) Notice and 2) Order them to be taken down.

Study hall consisted of a discussion on the dietary value of fried cheese and KFC.

Dreamweaver and notepad used, too.

________________Omake

The blogs name 'noctilucence' came from a package of paper for making Korean glow-in-the dark puff stars. They can be seen here! Noctilucence is actually a weather phenomenom, similiar to the aurora borealis, that causes summer-time clouds in the northern hemisphere to glow beautifully. Look what you've now learned!

noctilucence has been rika's blog since Aug 2001. Danke, pitas!
